City of Caspian recently issued the following announcement.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2020
8 AM TO 12 NOON, (OR UNTIL TRUCK IS FULL)
GREAT AMERICAN DISPOSAL
TO: All Caspian Residents, and ONLY Caspian Residents
REASON: The City of Caspian will be doing a clean-up day. Great American Disposal will be present.
WHEN: Saturday September 26, 2020 from 8 am to 12 noon, (or until the garbage truck is full, first come first serve, one truck will hold 20,000 tons)
WHERE: The pick-up location will be at the Caspian City Hall parking lot.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: A Caspian water bill, or piece of mail proving you do live in Caspian, and a picture ID, as we will be checking everybody.
NO ONE IS TO LEAVE ANY ITEMS ONCE TRUCK HAS LEFT, OUR CAMERA’S ARE OUT AND WE WILL BE TICKETING THOSE THAT LEAVE ITEMS.
GREAT AMERICAN DISPOSAL -ACCEPTABLE ITEMS FOR COLLECTION: Old Clothing, small appliances (NO FREON), small pieces of wood (3ft. in length or less), old fencing, toilets, sinks, cut up counter tops, roofing shingles, siding, empty AND dried out LATEX paint cans (NO oil-based products)
GREAT AMERICAN DISPOSAL -NON-ACCEPTABLE ITEMS / WILL NOT TAKE: NO grass clippings, NO leaves, NO branches, NO tires, NO refrigerators, NO freezers, NO stoves, NO dishwashers, NO microwave ovens, NO car/truck batter
This is your opportunity to clean up here in Caspian. The majority of you have been doing a good job on keeping your yards and homes up. With this pick up scheduled on Saturday September 26, 2020 between 8 am and 12 noon, nobody will have an excuse not to clean up. I hope everybody will take this opportunity to get rid of some unused items. Our Chief of Police Terry Post, will be noting areas that are not kept, and ticketing them.
You must have a Caspian water bill or piece of mail to prove you are a Caspian resident along with a picture ID. Great American Disposal will be located in the Caspian City Hall Parking lot starting at 8am until 12 noon, or until the truck is full. There is a list of items they will and will not accept posted at the city hall and post office.
