City of Ishpeming issued the following announcement on July 16.
City of Ishpeming and the Greater Ishpeming Commission on Aging wish to invite you to the Grand Opening Ceremony for the new “Ishpeming Multi-purpose Senior Center”
City-owned and Privately Operated (under a 50 Year Lease) by the Non-profit organization Greater Ishpeming Commission on Aging (GICOA). The GICOA goal is to provide “services and programs to promote the independence, safety, dignity, and well-being of older adults.”
The project is funded by a $1.9 million grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and other local donors.
