Citizens are invited to attend a ceremony honoring peace officers currently serving their communities and those who lost their lives while safeguarding the public at an event with Midland law enforcement officials on Monday, May 16.
The ceremony will be held in conjunction with Peace Officers Memorial Day, which occurs annually on May 15 as a national day of recognition of law enforcement officials. The event starts at 4 p.m. at the Midland Law Enforcement Center, 2727 Rodd Street.
The event will include remarks from Midland Chief of Police Nicole Ford and Midland County Sheriff Myron Greene and offer light refreshments following the ceremony.
