Members of the Midland Police Department (MPD), Midland Fire Department (MFD), and the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will join the Midland Area Farmers Market on Wednesday, August 10 to share safety tips, stories, and sweet treats with the community for ‘Pastries With Public Servants’ in celebration of National Farmers Market Week.
From 10 a.m. – noon, community members of all ages are invited to meet members of their police and fire departments while enjoying delicious donuts from Papa’s Pumpkin Patch and donut holes from Ignite Donuts. Snacks will be available until noon or while supplies last. Police vehicles and a fire truck will also be available for children to explore, service needs permitting.
In addition, staff from the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will host a story time for children at 10 a.m. and will have free bookmarks and used books available for readers of all ages to take home. Books have been generously provided by the Friends of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.
