How many students were enrolled in Carney-Nadeau Public Schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 270 students enrolled in Carney-Nadeau Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.6% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.2% of them were girls, and 47.8% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 90.7% of the Carney-Nadeau Public Schools total enrollment.

Carney-Nadeau Public Schools covers two schools within Menominee County with its main office in Carney. Among them, Carney-Nadeau Public School recorded the highest enrollment of 232 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
