There were 306 students enrolled in Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area K-12 School in the 2022-23 school year, 5% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.3% of them were girls, and 47.7% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 95.8% of the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area K-12 School total enrollment.

Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area K-12 School covers one school within Houghton County with its main office in Dollar Bay.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
