Mike Rogers announced that he and Kristi Rogers campaigned across the Upper Peninsula, engaging with small business owners and community leaders in St. Ignace, Marquette, and Escanaba. Their outreach focused on connecting with local stakeholders and discussing key issues.
According to a press release by Rogers for Senate, Mike and Kristi Rogers visited the U.P. State Fair in Escanaba with Senator Ed McBroom, engaging with locals and farmers, and participating in the Fair Junior Market Livestock Auction. They continued their family tradition by purchasing a hog at the auction.
At the Junior Market Livestock Auction, Rogers joined Republican Ed McBroom and purchased two pigs, contributing an additional $1 to the scholarship pig, according to WLUC TV 6.
Rogers highlighted discussions with voters about concerns such as high living costs, drug issues, and border security, emphasizing his commitment to addressing these challenges. He pledged to advocate for Michiganders and to support them in Washington.
"This is a solutions-based campaign," said Rogers. "We’re not just running around with rhetoric. This is about real solutions for things you are worried about in your family, and we’re going to get your back when I get there and get to the United States Senate."
Rogers is running for the U.S. Senate, focusing on key issues such as economic decline, China, rising crime, and border security. Born and raised in Livingston County, Michigan, he has a background in public service, having served as a lieutenant in the Army and a Special Agent in the FBI. In Michigan, he was a State Senator and later a U.S. Congressman where he worked on education savings, healthcare, and national security— notably as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Rogers has also been involved in the private sector advocating for American innovation and cybersecurity.
