Northern Michigan University (NMU) athletics experienced a dynamic weekend from September 12 to September 14, with notable performances across various sports.

In men's soccer, the Wildcats secured a 2-2 comeback tie against nationally ranked Lewis University. Goals were scored by Uchenna and Gumbs. This was followed by a decisive 3-0 win against Thomas More, with Scialanga scoring twice and Cameron adding another goal. The team remains undefeated with a record of 3-0-1, marking the best start to a season in program history.

The women's soccer team also had an impressive showing, achieving a 3-0 victory over Cedarville with goals from Pietila, Daavettila, and L'Esperance. They later drew 1-1 in a comeback effort against Northwood, with L'Esperance scoring again. The Wildcats hold a record of 2-1-1 after four road games and are set to return home for two GLIAC matchups.

The volleyball team faced mixed results over the weekend. They lost their home opener to Findlay in straight sets despite Smith's 14 kills and Barlow's 34 assists. However, they bounced back with a hard-fought 3-2 win over No.7 St. Cloud State; Smith and Gruner combined for over 30 kills while Barlow contributed significantly with assists and digs. The team's overall record stands at 4-3 as they prepare for two upcoming road GLIAC clashes.
