FOIA Request to Alger County Election Division Regarding Pre-Election Voting Machine Test Reports on October 30, 2024.
We at UP Gazette, a media organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have formally requested records under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act § 15.231 et seq. Our request specifically pertains to the pre-election test reports of voting machines used in the county's elections.
Our request is detailed and specific, seeking electronic copies of these reports in PDF format with particular fields included. These fields are: the date of the test, the manufacturer of the machine, the model number of the machine, and the status of the machine after testing (whether it passed or failed).
