The Northern Michigan University men's soccer team has unveiled its schedule for the 2025 fall season. Head coach Alex Fatovic, in his fourth year at the helm, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming challenges. "We are very excited to announce our 2025 schedule," Fatovic said. "We've added two new opponents in Lawrence Tech and recent final-four participant Lake Erie, and we host a Division One team here in Marquette during the pre-season. The GLIAC continues to be a premier Division Two conference, so every conference matchup is a high-level RPI game. To be the best, we must beat the best, and our program will have that opportunity this fall. August can't come soon enough!"

The schedule includes 18 matches from late August through November, featuring 16 regular-season games and two exhibition matches. Half the matches are at home, and half are away.

The Wildcats will begin with exhibition games against Green Bay on August 22 and UW-Superior on August 25. The regular season will start at home against Northwood and Lawrence Tech in early September. Lawrence Tech will be a first-time opponent for NMU.

Following those games, NMU will play road non-conference matches with Lewis and Lake Erie College. Notably, NMU drew 2-2 with Lewis last season. This will be their fourth meeting with Lake Erie, a team that reached the NCAA tournament in two of the last three seasons.

GLIAC conference play begins with a single match against Parkside in mid-September. NMU previously split their series with Parkside, securing a victory with a late goal from Jaziel Sainz de Vilmorin.

Following this, a demanding travel period with six road games and only two home games will occupy the end of September and mid-October. The schedule includes teams such as Purdue NW, Roosevelt, and St. Cloud, all of which made the GLIAC tournament last season. NMU will face reigning champions SVSU Cardinals at home, along with Davenport Panthers.

The Wildcats will conclude the regular season with three consecutive home games, concluding on November 2. The GLIAC tournament quarterfinals will follow, leading to the semifinals and championships.

Game details and additional information can be found on the NMU men's soccer team website. Dates and times are subject to change.
