Northern Michigan ranked eighth in GLIAC preseason football poll

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its 2025 Football Preseason Poll, ranking the Northern Michigan Wildcats in eighth place.

Ferris State leads the poll with 47 points and six first-place votes. Grand Valley State is second with 41 points and one first-place vote, followed by Saginaw Valley State with 38 points and one first-place vote. Davenport, Michigan Tech, Wayne State, Roosevelt, and Northern Michigan round out the rankings.

The Wildcats are set to begin their season in less than a month. Their opening game will be at home against Minnesota State Moorhead on August 28 at 6 p.m. The following week, they will travel to Northwood before returning to host Division I St. Thomas on September 13. The Homecoming game against Davenport on September 20 will mark the start of their seven-game conference schedule.

Season tickets are currently available for purchase through the team's ticketing platform, while single-game tickets will be released for sale starting Monday, August 4.
