Lake Superior State University senior Tayla Brasier has received the $2,500 Centennial Scholarship from Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for business students. Brasier, who is from Bathurst, Australia, is one of 51 students across the country to be awarded this scholarship.
Delta Mu Delta grants membership to students in the top 20% of their classes and holds a scholarship competition among its inducted members from different chapters. The Centennial Scholarship recognizes academic excellence, leadership, and service.
Brasier is studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in marketing. She maintains a 3.93 GPA and has shown leadership and service both at Lake Superior State University and in the local community. She also participates as a student-athlete at the university.
“It’s a great society,” said Tayla. “one I would definitely recommend to anyone.”
Delta Mu Delta organizes free mentoring programs four times each year. These programs include guest speakers and individual meetings with industry leaders. They are designed to help members develop their interests, careers, and professional networks.
