A public hearing will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. during a special meeting of the Ishpeming City Council. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at Ishpeming City Hall, located at 100 E. Division Street.
The main topic of discussion will be the adoption of the proposed budget for 2026. The city has made a copy of the budget available for public review both on its official website and in the City Manager’s Office at City Hall.
According to the announcement, “THE PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE PROPOSED TO BE LEVIED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED BUDGET WILL BE A SUBJECT OF THIS HEARING: 20.2603 mills.”
Residents are invited to participate by providing oral or written comments during the hearing. The city also encourages handicapped persons who require assistance to contact city offices during regular working hours at least 48 hours before the meeting.
