The Lake Superior Community Partnership has announced the recipients of its 2025 Small Business Awards, highlighting several local businesses and one community leader for their contributions to the region's economic growth.
At a ceremony held on November 6, 2025, at the Mather in Ishpeming, Michigan, four businesses were honored with the Outstanding Small Business Award. The recognized companies are Queen City Running Company from the Borealis Beach Region, West End Gymnastics Center from the Iron Core Region, AV Rental Co from the Blueberry Farms Region, and The Lumberjack Tavern from the Moose Hills Region.
In addition to these business awards, Alexander Kofsky, Executive Director of Accelerate U.P., received recognition as this year’s Small Business Champion.
“These award winners exemplify innovation, resilience, and a commitment to strengthening our local economy,” said a statement from Lake Superior Community Partnership. “These businesses and leaders not only contribute to the economic vitality of our region but also help make it a better place to live, work, and grow.”
The event served as an opportunity for community members and business leaders to celebrate achievements in small business across various sectors.
