City of Marquette issued the following announcement on Oct. 18
Traffic disruptions planned during soil boring activity
Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 22, various areas in the City of Marquette will experience traffic disruptions due to soil boring operations. Tri Media Consultants will be performing soil boring sampling for future street reconstruction projects. The public is advised to use caution when traveling through these areas and be aware of all flagging and traffic control. Work will be continuing throughout the week on the following dates and locations:
Tuesday, Oct. 22: Marquette Drive and Lakeview Drive
Wednesday, Oct. 23: Lakeview Drive, Union Street from Wilkinson to Presque Isle
Thursday and Friday, Oct. 24-25: Property adjacent to Lakeshore Boulevard from Pine to Hawley.
Be advised that the weather may delay these operations until the next available day
