A.D JOHNSTON SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: Learning During Closure

Computer

A.D. Johnston Junior Senior High School recently issued the following announcement.

Hello, we hope this message finds everyone doing well. We are currently setting up a delivery system for paper copies of the material that is included on the School Website and google classroom. This will allow families who are experiencing difficulties in attaining the materials to get the lessons and activities. This is our platform for education for the remainder of the year which will conclude on June fourth. Each packet will contain two week's worth of instructional information and educational enrichment. Once again, this is our educational experience for the rest of the year and participation, whether it is on the computer or in the paper packet form, is expected and strongly encouraged to reduce the "slide" many students experience over a long break. You will have the opportunity to receive and hand in the packets bi-weekly at the food pick up times, every other Monday and Thursday from nine to ten thirty a.m. at the Washington Elementary Parking lot for all Bessemer Area Students and Parents. Please, only take packets if access to educational experiences are not available using the online google classroom. The first pick up will be April thirteenth from nine to ten thirty. If that day does not work please be sure to pick up the packet on Thursday, April sixteenth from nine to ten thirty.

These two week packets that parallel the google classroom will be available again on Monday, April twenty-seventh from nine to ten thirty a.m. The previous week's work can be turned in at the same time as the next packet pick up.

A schedule of times for packet pick up and return of completed materials will be posted on our school website and facebook page. Once again, this is our educational platform for learning for the remainder of the year. It is imperative that all students seize this opportunity to participate. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time of crisis. We hope everyone is safe and healthy. Please feel free to contact your instructors with any questions in regard to your educational experience. Have a great day.
