Cost of college went up for all students at Lake Superior State University

Tuition and fees rose 4.1 percent for 2018-19 at Lake Superior State University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $11,895 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $468 more than the $11,427 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 331 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.6 million and 206 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,991), 1,497 students used grants or scholarships totaling $13.6 million, and 1,100 students took out $7.3 million in federal student loans.
