Clinton Township issued the following announcement on Nov. 8.

Clinton Township Supervisor Bob Cannon will host a socially distanced Veterans Day Ceremony at Resurrection Cemetery on November 11, at 1 p.m. The event will take place at the American Veterans Memorial section of the cemetery, located at 18201 Clinton River Road, in Clinton Township

“I’m pleased and honored to have once again the opportunity to thank the men and women who have served our country,” said Cannon. “I look forward to seeing our local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154, and other veterans and their families in attendance.”

According to Resurrection Cemetery’s website, the event is open to the public, and guests are invited to bring folding chairs to sit during the short program. Resurrection Cemetery thanks participants in advance for adhering to social distancing guidelines.

“As always, our media services staff will video record the ceremony and schedule it for cable TV broadcast and post to Clinton Township Television’s (CTTV) YouTube channel,” said Cannon.
