City of Menominee Snow Ban Ordinance

No parking

City of Menominee issued the following announcement on Nov 5.

Citizens of Menominee are reminded that the City of Menominee Snow Ban Ordinance takes effect on December 1, 2021 at 2:30 a.m. through April 1, 2022.

Vehicles parked on the street overnight on November 30, 2021 will be ticketed.

The Menominee Police Department will require permits for all vehicles parked overnight in municipal lots located at 2nd Street and 5th Avenue; 2nd Street and 6th Avenue; 2nd Street and 9th Avenue; and 1st Street and 6th Avenue.  The permit requirements are as follows: 

Permits shall be issued upon application to the Police Department and shall be restricted to one-third (1/3) the total number of parking spaces available within each lot as determined by the city code enforcement officer. 

Permits are available free of charge at the Police Department on a first come, first served basis during  regular office hours Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. 

Applications for permits shall require the registered owner of the vehicle, type of vehicle, vehicle registration and address and telephone number of the owner.  Applications for permits may be denied by the Police Department.  Anyone denied application may appeal to the City Manager by corresponding in writing to the City Clerk requesting a meeting with the City Manager.

Parking permits in city lots are required during plow periods from December 1 through April 1 of each year during the hours of 2:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
