Breitung Township School District issued the following announcement on Nov 16.
Dear WCCC Families,
We were informed today that a staff member who works directly with children at the Woodland Childcare Center recently tested positive for COVID-19. After meeting with our school nurse, Mrs. Julie Cootware, to determine close contacts and consulting our state licensing agent, it was determined that we should close the Woodland Childcare Center temporarily.
Woodland Childcare Center will be closed beginning Wednesday 11/17/2021 through Wednesday, 11/24/2021. The Woodland Childcare Center will plan to reopen again on Monday, 11/29/2021.
We understand this is an inconvenience to many, however, with the age of the students who are considered close contacts and the nature of the childcare setting, we feel it is necessary to keep the children in our care, safe, and healthy moving forward.
