City of Midland issued the following announcement on Feb 18.
Residents can now easily stream local, original content from the MCTV Network – including government meetings, City programs like “Word on the Street(s)” and “The Lowdown on Downtown”, and more – via mobile devices and home streaming services.
Residents can now access MCTV programming via the free MCTV Network Community Voices app available on their Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire Stick streaming devices, as well as on iOS and Android mobile devices via the free Cablecast Community Media app available on Google Play and the App Store. While the app uses viewers’ locations to set MCTV as the local media center, viewers can also browse contents from many other public access centers around the country.
MCTV has also updated the streaming service available through MCTV’s website. Go to www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/mctv and click ‘Live & On-Demand Video’ to access all public, education, and government programming created through the facilities of the MCTV Network.
The MCTV Network operates four cable access TV channels on Charter Spectrum (188 – 191) and AT&T U-verse (99) and offers online video and audio podcast services for community media producers.
