Iron River Police Department issued the following announcement on Mar 2.

As the Iron River Police Chief, it is my responsibility to enforce penalties for violations of State Laws and City Ordinances. Our Police Officers and Blight Officer are not wanting to write citations for ordinance violations, but we will. If you are unaware of the ordinances, I would recommend you visit the City of Iron River's website. 

Again, we are looking for compliance of all ordinances versus writing citations. If all businesses and residents took care of their own property by following the ordinances, we will have a more aesthetically pleasing community. 

A community that more tourists will visit, more businesses' open, and residents once again can be proud of the community they live.
