Breitung Township School District recently issued the following announcement.
Dear Kingsford Middle School & Kingsford High School Families:
Breitung Township Schools will be hosting the District First Robotics Event at the Kingsford High School/Kingsford Middle School complex on Friday, April 8, 2022. Because of the size of this event and the number of people attending, school for all students in grade 5-12 will be scheduled as a Distance Learning day. Kingsford Middle School and Kingsford High School students will connect to their classes using Google Classroom. Teachers will be live on screen, and attendance will be taken each hour. Woodland Elementary students in grades PK-4 and Woodland Childcare students will attend school as normal.
On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 Kingsford High School Seniors as well as Kingsford Middle School Seventh Grade students will also participate in a Distance Learning day. This distance learning day is scheduled to accommodate the state testing sessions that will take place in other grade levels within the buildings. Students will connect to their classes using Google Classroom. Teachers will be live on screen, and attendance will be taken each hour. All other students will attend school as normal. Future announcements regarding testing times, locations etc. for Seniors and Seventh Graders will be sent from the respective buildings.
If your child is currently unable to connect from home, please make arrangements in advance with the respective building offices and teachers for the make-up work or to arrange an alternate assignment for the scheduled distance learning days.
Sincerely,
The Breitung Township Schools Communication Team
