New, Free Trolley Runs From North Leroy to Downtown to Silver Parkway

The Fenton Trolley, a free service of the MTA, has started operating on a route that goes roughly from North Leroy St to Shiawassee Ave to Owen Road and Silver Parkway.

The hop-on and hop-off service will have a number of stops along the way at major shopping and restaurant locations. For this weekend only, it will include a stop at the Applefest. Route details are below.

“We’re happy the service is starting the weekend of the St. John’s Applefest,” said City Manager Lynn Markland. “People should look for the new ‘Fenton Trolley’ signs along the route.”

Potential riders wanting more information can download the MTA MOOVIT app for real-time Trolley routes and times. It is available at www.mtaflint.org.
