82.8% of Iron County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 11,580 citizens living in Iron County in 2021, 82.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 9,590 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 4,800 were male, constituting 50.1%, and 4,790 were female, making up 49.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Iron County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78.2%.
