State Rep. Jaime Greene has taken a firm stance against a proposed fee increase by the governor of Michigan that could significantly impact waste disposal costs in the state. The proposed 13-fold increase in the tipping fee, from 36 cents a ton to $5 per ton, has drawn strong criticism from Greene, who believes it will ultimately burden consumers.

"Increasing the cost of waste removal is like imposing a tax on the very essence of daily life in our state," expressed Rep. Jaime Greene, highlighting the potential repercussions of the fee hike.
