A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Dekalb County on September 26, 2024, by us at DeKalb Times. We are a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the request, we asked for a list of all payments made to vendors from January 1, 2024, until September 26, 2024. The specific fields requested include the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and the amount of each payment.
As members of the media committed to transparency and holding public institutions accountable, we believe access to these public records is essential for fulfilling our professional responsibilities.
We are awaiting a response from Dekalb County and will continue to report on this matter as more information becomes available.
