The NMU men's soccer team concluded their road trip with a 2-1 defeat against the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals. The match, held in University Center, Michigan, saw the Cardinals take an early lead by scoring in the 11th minute after dominating the initial phase with six attempts.
James Carr brought NMU back into contention by scoring his first career goal as a Wildcat after capitalizing on a rebound 20 minutes later.
