City of East Tawas issued the following announcement on Nov. 25
In accordance with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ recommendations designed to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the amendment to the Open Meetings Act allowing public bodies to use telephone or video conferencing technology to meet and conduct business, the East Tawas Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during an electronic meeting via telephone/video conferencing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Article II. Definitions and rules applying to text, Section 44-38 Definitions, definition of structure and Article X, Signs, Section 44-356 Prohibited signs (13) and Section 44-358 Signs permitted in all districts (1).
