City of Bessemer issued the following announcement on Feb 2.
CITY OF BESSEMER PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
ORDINANCE #379 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING CODE
The City of Bessemer will hold a public hearing on Ordinance N0. 379. This ordinance will amend the zoning code to prohibit signs on public property unless placed by a public institute.
This Public Hearing will be on Tuesday, March 1st at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers 411 S Sophie St. Bessemer, MI 49911. Interested parties may appear in person and provide comment to the Planning Commission or can write a letter to the Planning Commission at the above address. Letters will be received up until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1st. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available in the City Clerks office.
The City of Bessemer will, upon request, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities to allow equal participation in this meeting. Such aids may include qualified sign language interpreters, documents in Braille, and other ways of making information and communications accessible to people who have speech, hearing, or vision impairments.
