EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are reminded that the East Lansing Winter Fest will be taking place this Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road.
Community members are invited to stop by for free entertainment and craft activities as well as the popular Winter Farmers Market. Activities will be taking place outside and inside of ELHCC and will include ice carving, outdoor fire pits with s’mores for roasting, live performances, a bounce house, Royale Battlefield Nerf Games, a photo booth, concessions and crafts/activities and informational tables provided by the East Lansing Art Festival, East Lansing Public Library, East Lansing Police Department and East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts (ELPRA). Live performances will include a magic show with Alan Kazam at 11 a.m., urban style line dancing with Rock the Block at noon and a live music performance by Heartland Klezmorim at 1 p.m.
The Winter Farmers Market vendors will be set up inside ELHCC’s Banquet Hall, with food trucks set up outdoors in front of ELHCC. Market vendors will include Fur Real Dog Snacks, Summer Nights Apiaries, River Tree Coffee Company, Sweet Potato Delights, The Beeswax BARRN, Magnolia Farms, Uncle Hairy’s, Jenny’s Sweets & Treats, Taqueria Monarca (food truck), ELPRA Pottery, Grand Traverse Sauce Company, Tantay Peruvian Cuisine (food truck), Stone Circle Bakehouse, Droscha Sugarbush, Wooden Shoe Herb Farm and Sapo de Solis.
“We hope to see a great turnout of community members at this year’s Winter Fest, brought to the community by the East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts,” East Lansing Administrative Services Coordinator Justin Drwencke said. “This all-ages event has a little something for everyone, from great food to live performances, fun activities and so much more.”
